The idea to record a new EP came up in November 2019. I knew that everything would be different from February 2020 as we were expecting our twins. On the one hand I was excited and looking forward to the two of them, on the other hand I knew that everything would be different when they were born and that I would devote my time entirely to the family in the next few months. Because with a total of three children you need a certain structure. I felt an urge to write music that documents this calm before the storm. I knew that in the next few months we would find ourselves in kind of a bubble and lead a life that was only about us. Little did I know that shortly after the twins were born, a global pandemic would break out and most people would live in a bubble too.

The EP is now ready and a new wave of infection is rolling. Perhaps "Escapism" will help to overcome the present situation and help to travel in mind.
